GlottaVue 1.6.5 is on iOS: update, take the tour and log a case

By Conor Early, CRNA, creator of GlottaVue Anesthesia.

Published October 8, 2026. This release note looks back at the October 7 iOS launch and earlier development.

GlottaVue 1.6.5 is now available for iPhone and iPad. Build 132 became available on October 7, and the public US App Store listing now shows version 1.6.5. This is the public release of the Assistant, guided case-log and welcome-tour improvements described in our full 1.6.5 roundup.

Find and install the update

GlottaVue's iOS update feed now points to this release. If your installed version supports update checks, connect to the internet and look for an update notice, or use About → Check for updates where available. The notice opens the App Store to complete installation; it does not install the update inside GlottaVue.

Automatic checks can use a cached result for up to six hours, so a notice may not appear immediately. You can also open the App Store listing directly. In 1.6.5, Home has a dedicated place for update notices, and About shows your installed version and a manual check. These are in-app checks, not push notifications.

Start with the welcome tour

After updating, returning users who completed the older tour see the refreshed walkthrough once. It introduces the Assistant's Clinical, Medications and Case plan modes, follow-up questions, source review and Deep Dive, alongside care-plan export and offline references. You can skip it or replay it from About → Show welcome tour. Consent for online AI use remains separate.

Try one guided case entry

For students tracking clinical experience, the case log now walks through case details, participation, time, relevant experience groups and review. On a day of similar procedures, Save & next similar case starts a separate entry with shared setup carried forward. Patient-specific categories and times must be entered again; review carried-forward experiences for each encounter. It does not automatically award a batch of training credits. The workspace guide explains the surrounding tools.

What this release does—and what remains a preview

Version 1.6.5 also includes offline rhythm tools and clearer spinal-reference labels. Online Assistant answers and AI care-plan synthesis require internet access and independent review; AI can be incomplete or incorrect. Store availability and software checks do not establish clinical validation. Use non-identifying details and verify clinical information against original sources, local guidance and appropriate supervision.

The 20 new global-health references previewed October 6 are not included in build 132. They remain draft development work pending clinical review and a future release.
